If you hated The Breakfast Club you're not alone.
My 4 "Favorite Films" are the last 4 exceptional movies I watched.
I saw My Neighbor Totoro when I was maybe 8 and it blew my mind. I knew it was special but I didn't know why. I just thought it was mind bogglingly weird. Now I watch it and see that it has stood the test of time, and I guess so have I. I always knew I was smarter than all the other kids. This is my Toy Story or whatever other crap movie you thought was good when you were 8.
I don't think this movie deserves 4 stars but what the hell. It made me laugh and who doesn't like an underdog? Plus if I was face to face with David Robert Mitchell I wouldn't have the heart to give Under The Silver Lake 3.5 stars. You have to commend an artist when they take this many chances and it still basically works. Not bad.
I'm a bit high but I think this might be the greatest film of all time.
What I don't understand is why Harmony claims that movies like The Beach Bum and Spring Breakers are light-hearted romps. I laughed a lot but this movie was depressing lol. Zac Efron and Martin Lawrence steal the show. Also the soundtrack slays.
