Dion Wyn’s review published on Letterboxd:
Brandon Cronenberg at times breaches style over substance with Possessor. Indeed you can sense the influence his father on his vision but Brandon does push his boundaries far more into the grotesque arena. Combining the body horror with some fine swift editing and wonderful colourisation it truly is a mesmeric experience. Possessor is an interesting voyage into repression and how we lead false lives. While I do find the plot to be rather non-linear it lets the mind wander with what is happening and what potentially will happen next. Top performance from Christopher Abbott and an utterly tantalising score by Jim Williams. Not bad at all!
