What could have been a tribute to the briliant artwork of Alex Pardee is turned into a navelgazing ego fest that is as boring as it is wholly unoriginal.
Green seems intent on reminding us every other scene that he's made many films (of which I like most) and has a sitcom. I cannot even begin to imagine why on earth he chose this way to treat the potentially interesting idea. It's a half assed attempt at meta commentary on the found footage/horror genre that doesn't work because Green keeps obsessing over himself.
Ray Wise is, as always, brilliant and provides some small relief in this boring 'Look I found my ego and will slap you silly with it' garbage.
