As personal as moviemaking gets. A tremendous achievement in empathy and a coming-of-age story that skillfully balances familiar structures with essential new perspectives and alternate frames of reference.

Two great performances from Gallo and Ricci, two unforgettable characters, one completely original and unexpectedly heartwarming love story.
From beginning to end, it's brilliantly shot, brilliantly written, brilliantly edited, and brilliantly scored.
This is one of my all time favorite movies and I'm confident there will never be anything like it ever again.
