    Kiki's Delivery Service

Hayao Miyazaki has done it. I figured there was a chance that one of his films would become an instant favorite of mine before I dove into his work, and I was right, Kiki's Delivery Service is one of my new favorite films.

Similar to My Neighbor Totoro and contrasting Miyazaki's earlier work, Kiki's is an incredibly small stakes, simple film that is at its core, one of the most profound and relatable coming of age stories of all time.…

Uh I don't got much to say other than that was completely transfixing and beautiful. Riz Ahmed deserves everything you can throw at him.

    Da 5 Bloods

I often forget about how I should count my blessings that we live in a time where Spike Lee is making movies. With Da 5 Bloods he delivers one of his absolute best joints, and I do not say that lightly. Featuring some of the absolute best editing, camerawork, and direction of his career, the film has so much to say and is filled to the brim with incredible performances. Netflix MUST push for Delroy in the best leading actor…
