I adore this damn movie. I love the TV show as well. It's exactly what modern-day "blaxploitation" should be.
Whether the humor is dark, demented or just silly as hell, it's a constantly entertaining and hilarious gem with massive replay value. It also helps that Michael Jai White absolutely dominates the lead character and everybody else feeds off of his energy.
It knows the genre it's spoofing in and out. References aplenty, but it doesn't become consumed so much that the movie feels like a bunch of blassics (no typo) combined. One of the best spoof movies/satires ever conceived.
