There's two ways to view this movie:

1. An absolutely hilarious yet painful documentary of sorts, on par with This Is Spinal Tap, that shows the chaos behind a horrible album and the band that got driven into insanity by it.

2. A fly-on-the-wall view of how a band previously seen as the Gods of Rock devolved so direly into a middling pop group.
