Don Smith’s review published on Letterboxd:
I don't know if this is an "underrated gem" or not - certainly I have had some difficulty in getting hold of it. Although the plot similarity is nil, it comes from the same emotional space as "Fatal Attraction" - a flirtation turns sexual, and then, suddenly, things turn VERY dark in a hurry. Jeff Daniels and Melanie Griffith are the flirters - Ray Liotta is fantastic and menacing in his role as - never mind who, no spoilers here.
The movie rolls relentlessly from start to finish - no down time or weak moments. "Well paced," is the critical term, I think. Well worth watching.
Oh, and great music throughout.
