    If it weren’t for the context behind the scenes and Sharon Tate, this wouldn’t be on anyone’s radar. If you like the book, you will hate this; even the author called it a piece of shit. 

    It’s pretty much if Requiem for a Dream pulled all of its punches and chickened out of its ending.

    A surprisingly decent (re)execution that shouldn't be passed over just because we all love Carpenter's. Its heart was very much in the right place, and you can excuse the CGI if you know that they really did try (and succeed!) with practical effects that were sadly replaced in post that looks nowhere near as good. I suggest looking up behind the scenes videos on YouTube when you're done to see how far they went.
