Halloween Kills

Halloween Kills ★★★

The third act puts too fine a point on the subtext. There are a lot of swings and misses here. I also noticed a lot of tenderness in the way Myers displayed his victims, seeming to honor the love couples felt towards each other in a way that isn’t profane. The reflectiveness of the cast is interesting, seeing the folly of their own hate and thirst for revenge in the townsfolk. But I think the film just bounced around too much and in the end, people just keep doing stupid shit and getting killed.

Didn’t really resonate.
