The first thing I thought when I finished this film was how angry I am at myself for waiting this long to watch this masterpiece. Every frame truly felt like a work of art. The soundtrack is absolutely awesome. The story is amazing & engaging throughout. The writing is intelligent & very refreshing.…

Rewatched this today before going to see Afterlife tonight, this film still holds up as a classic all these years later. This is an absolute gem from the 80’s. Stellar cast who made their characters beyond memorable. This is just an iconic and timeless film which blends comedy & supernatural elements perfectly, plus it features one of the best theme songs in film history!

Another Hayao Miyazaki film, another gem. This film has such a joyful feel throughout I couldn’t help but smile while watching. Of all the Ghibli films I have seen, this one might have the most stunning visuals yet. The colors are so vibrant, every frame is beautiful. The storyline is simple but flows effortlessly and the relationship between Ponyo & Sosuke is adorable. The ending felt a tad rushed, but that would be one of my few complaints. All in all, a truly charming & imaginative film, which felt like a breath of fresh air as I was watching.
