  • Lance

    Lance

    ★★★

    fuck you lance!
    fuck you infinity.
other than certain politicians, there is no one i like less than lance armstrong.
i am not a former starry eyed fan that feels betrayed. i didn't like armstrong as early as 1992. i can't stand the man because he is a bully, psychopath, and narcissist.
sidenote: this a VERY sympathetic look at a liar and a cheat.

  • Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes

Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes

    ★★½

a more than fair, right leaning view, on a very evil man. like trump, ailes' daddy didn't love him.

  • Wrinkles the Clown

    Wrinkles the Clown

    ★½

sprawling unfocused documentary that begins with a false narrative.
every child in this was horrible, and they all need a visit from wrinkles.

  • Liberty Stands Still

    Liberty Stands Still

    ½

my step father once again picks one of the worst films ever to watch, and unironically likes it. i love when republicans don't understand subtext, and this title isn't exactly subtle.

  • Sleeper

    Sleeper

    ★★★★

in this absurdist comedy, Woody Allen channels Alfred Jarry, Buster Keaton(visual gags/slapstick), and Groucho Marx(one-liners). the sets, whether found or manufactured, are all brilliant, and every prop is a masterpiece.

  • Killer Drag Queens on Dope

    Killer Drag Queens on Dope

    ★★

the first movie watched of the year is so important. it sets the tone for the rest of the year, in and out of just movies. it's a look into what that year might hold for us in all aspects of life. i doubt i could have watched a better movie for #1 for 2021.
    Alexis Arquette. Swoon!

  • Santa's Summer House

    Santa's Summer House

it's not christmas until you've watched a David Decoteau movie. i mean a Mary Crawford movie. when David directs as Mary i want to believe he does it full Mrs. Doubtfire mode.
"David... i mean Mary, we are ahh ready on the set."
