omg where to start.. this was such a masterpiece.
the aesthetic, the music, the scenery it was so ethereal. every single scene was SO beautifully done. the scene where elio and oliver are riding bikes through the park. it is so breathtaking.
everything about this film is so delicately done; from the minuscule things, for example, the scene of the little montage of their shorts. UGH.. beautiful.
elio and oliver are such a slow burn, their interactions in the first half of the movie are so subtle and soft, but there is still so much sexual tension which is so raw and rare. their relationship is extraordinary, delicate and light in a way that seems not to be of this world.
the soundtrack of this film is perfectly chosen. every song is perfect for each scene it is exceptionally done well! also... how can i not mention the scene where elio dances, UGH (bi)lingual legend!
side note, if u read the book beforehand it gives more of an insight into how elio is feeling and his thought process, as it’s not as portrayed in the film. but it is such an amazing, beautiful film!
