Although I felt the movie has some issues with tone throughout, it was a extremely well-written movie with astounding performance all around. The monologues were mesmerizing and kept the audiences fully engaged and invested. The movie lets the performances dictate what happens on the screen, which works out for a unique experience, that ultimately lacks in some substance that could have been added through some more innovative technique on the part of the director. Additionally, there were times when the movie felt like it shifted too abruptly which takes the audience out of the movie. Overall, the powerhouse performances will be enough for most to fall in love with this movie and for it to garner some serious Oscar consideration.
