Dyldo Baggins’s review published on Letterboxd:
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
“Possessor” is a wild psychological horror film from the son of David Cronenberg. Like his fathers films this feels like a living nightmare; dealing with technology and the terrifying places it can go. The gratuitous violence and the psychedelic visuals all add to the eerie atmosphere. The cast is terrific, especially Christopher Abbott; who is very convincing as a man losing grasp with reality. “Videodrome” felt like a heavy influence here, but I believe Brandon has a unique voice of his own that deserves to be heard.
