Sorry to Bother You is an un-killable neo-Marxist art-piece firmly wedged into the desperate dreams of a pacified society that is fervently ignoring the cries of those who suffer alongside them. What we have here is the ideal concert film: vivacious, frenetic, buzzing, and comfortably eclectic. Jonathan Demme took Talking Heads’ “no bullshit” plan and actually made something quite artful: an up-close, intimate look at some of the most wildly indescribable music ever made.
