When I first watched this I wasn't blown away by it. I found the narrative slightly mundane and bland; it didn't feel like it took anyone's side or viewpoint and I felt ambivalent once it had ended. The more time goes past the more I really like this film. It's simplisitic but feels incredibly real and natural which is I think a credit to its writing and acting performances. The mundane aspect I felt the first time comes from the attempt at realism from Baumbach and I think he does a really good job of getting as close to real life as possible. Not necessarily always my favourite style of film but I did enjoy it.
