Awesome! And by awesome I mean terrible.

Honestly, I only watched an hour of it, but believe me felt like at least 2 hours and 12 minutes. Even worse, my mom will probably love this movie and spend another hour that feels like two hours and twelve minutes telling me all about it.

What an absolutely magnificent film on every single level. I enjoyed The Rider, but Chloe Zhao has grown by leaps and bounds to bring us this. I already knew that Frances McDormand is one of the finest actors of our time, but this might be her most beautiful performance ever, with unbelievable depth commanding every moment she's visible. All of the cast (mostly non actors) were stunning, but I was particularly moved by Bob Wells.

I find it unthinkable that this won't be best picture. Not only is it an incredible film, it's also exactly the right film for right now.
