Never understood the hype about old films or Alfred Hitchcock till I watched this. The suspense building and ability to hold my attention was so much better than expected! Quirky characters, fun plot, and very easy to analyze/pick apart, as well as great to look at to study film structure.
Way too cheesy for me. Definitely didn’t feel like a movie s/ a high enough budget to have Vince Vaughn I’m sorry. Only reason I gave it 3 instead of 2 stars was bc i laughed like 3-4 times and also they made a point of including natural dialogue about pronouns, gender identity, and sexuality. Good for them but the comedy piece was kinda missing. Didn’t love this

I could never love a film more than I love this one. In the silences, the imagery speaks volumes, it’s unique soundtrack brings the characters’ expressions and movements such breadth, and the final moments are absolutely jaw dropping. This film captivates an audience in such a subtle yet emotional way. I loved that her illness doesn’t define her, it is never even named. Mila navigates her adolescent identity and dives into her romantic relationship as a way to separate herself…
