I’ve been pondering for an hour now and the more I think about it, the more I appreciate it. I kinda feel like there’s absolutely no sense of direction BUT I kinda loved watching it all unfold. I have a real fondness for this particular era and this is Tarantino’s ode to the good, the bad and the ugly. It didn’t feel as fresh and nimble as he’s known to be and I was expecting more but I think I’m okay with that? It was charming and amusing and kept me curious as to what was to come next. There’s a tenderness and nuance underneath. It doesn’t need to be in-your-face. I obviously LOVED DiCaprio and Pitt. They’re at the top of their game and they’re not slowing down. The final act is an absolute treat.
