    Shiva Baby

Shiva Baby reminded me of my life before being out. It triggered me so powerfully, yet I enjoyed as if it was a sweet memory. I was reminded of the tense moments when my separate lives used to clash unexpectedly, and the very loud heartbeat that I used to hear when that happens.

  • Stray

    The Father

The Father hits hard. It’s like a 1000-piece puzzle that whenever you think you placed a piece right, it doesn’t fit into the next one. You start again. Suddenly doors open, and you find out that it solved itself. Hopkins is incredible and the editing is one of the year’s best.

  • Apples

Greek New Wave, Greek Weird Wave... Whatever you call this new era in Greek cinema, Apples is a must-see. Following the footsteps of Lanthimos in his universe of weird games (and coincidentally during an actual pandemic), it makes up a pandemic of memory loss and a rehabilitation system with its very own rules. One of the best films I've seen on mourning.
