I’m no fan of Zack Snyder movies, but hey, I enjoyed his Dawn of the Dead remake; that movie was un-Zach; it was snappy and not really bloated.
So hey a new zombie movie could be c- wait the runtime is over two hours?! You had one job Zach…
Anyway, this movie is way toooooo long. The whole backstory of these characters are either too long or just uninteresting. It takes almost an hour to get everything out of the way, which ends in a hilarious reason for the daughter to join up with her dad’s crew. The characters have nothing to say and are just flat.
And finally we get zombies; I’ll give some credit for zombie tiger. That thing looks cool. But aaaah super zombies. Why. Oh and oh god they can be pregnant. Okay, hands up who thought that particular scene was hilarious and thought of Zombie Lion King?
Anyway even with the action this movie overstays it’s welcome. Mediocre acting, way too long, boring plot, super zombies and it lacks punch. Or in this case bite. Its just not a fun movie. Maybe next time.
