John Hughes movies somehow demonstrate exactly how teenagers behave while simultaneously writing dialogue they would never say, it’s quite fascinating.

The stars might be misleading so let me elaborate:

Stunt work, practical effects, action sequences, and overall cinematography: 10/10

Established stakes and the ability for the audience to care about any of the action, regardless of its awe-inspiring execution: 2/10

Characters (writing): 3/10

Characters (acting): 8/10

Plot (concept): 12/10

Plot (execution): 7/10
