to describe it in one word: impressive
‘spider-man: into the spider verse’ is an animation following the life of your friendly neighbourhood spider-man, only this time it is miles morales, and instead of one the movie ends up having in total 7 spider-men! that is because of kingpin’s attempt to get into another dimension had gone wrong, and instead, his super-collider brings a spider-man from each different dimensions into one, mile’s.

after the longest time postponing this, i finally watched it. and — thanks god — i was not disappointed!, not that i thought that i would be, but after only hearing amazing things about this my expectations were very high, to say the least, but, just a few minutes in I knew this was going to surpass those expectations.
now, the most noticeable aspect of this is definitely the animation!- actually i meant the colours!; no! the soundtrack or maybe the dialogue…; my point is, this film does everything so flawlessly it’s hard to decide what brings more attention, so i’ll just comment on each individually:
- the animation: its unique style really is fantastic, i mean, it’s so detailed, it feels so pleasing to the eye, and it sets the ‘vibe’ of the movie really.
- the colours: I MEAN! talking about setting a vibe for the movie, the work done here is so outstanding! the colour palette for this movie is so incredibly chosen, it’s rich with colours, yet follows this beautiful, gloomy(-ish) pattern.
- the soundtrack: bringing today’s known artists to be a part of this project, and making each track feel so authentic to the movie and so calming (sunflower<3) to listen to, makes this even more special.
- the dialogue: not only it was funny, but also, finally an animation where the dialogue of teenagers doesn’t feel forced or as if some 50-year-old just googled “which slangs are young people using these days?”
with all of that, impressive pretty much sums up what i think about the unimaginable work put into the making of this. btw the hype is very much deserved.
