a tale of three acts truly: gorgeous humanistic images and a love letter to life until its not. complete joy to watch within the first act so devoid of despair as it all aspired from others art to become a culmination of adoration and love of those others art. yet it becomes a melodramatic war film so alike those which become before it and tragically forgets what makes it special before. if only the passion project it was once before stayed tonally within the entire film. 400 blows was better!
