Ezra Cubero’s review published on Letterboxd:
While the previous installment had a lot of charm and likable characters, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is a massive downgrade. The story is so convoluted and lazily constructed that it sucks out all of the magic in this universe that J.K. Rowling has told so many terrific stories in. Dan Fogler once again is a scene stealer, Jude Law shines as Dumbledore, and the musical score is terrific, but that's where the strengths unfortunately conclude. For anyone who was disappointed with the villain swap at the end of the first film, avoid this one at all costs. Easily the worst film in the Wizarding World.
