none of the charm of Suspiria but still kinda hot I guess. Reminded me I would love to make a cat cafe. Also would be fun to hang that painting in it.

  • Moonstruck

    Moonstruck

    ★★★

this movie was real corny and like something I would have enjoyed very much if it was a story instead of a movie with Nicholas Cage (barrrfff) and Cher pretending to be italians. I'm still at this time bitter because noone loves me except an awful person who doesn't really love me. So.

  • Tales from the Crypt

    Tales from the Crypt

    ★★★

This is a movie about how bad people who care too much about money die. I liked the last part the best. I learned about the hot lady from the first part--she was a big deal through the 80s. She didn't age for like 30 years and she was a sex symbol and her sister wrote lots of meh books.

it was fine. standard entertainment to chat over and occasionally rest my eyes during. the guy who played the wanted man was a terrible actor and his performance fell apart completely in the final scenes and I laughed a lot about that.

I know my opinion is wrong but I don't feel strongly about Morricone's music.

there's this cranky hot lady in the mountains who wrangles hobos and ruffians to be rodeo clowns like she's running some kind of rodeo clown sex farm and I thought that was pretty interesting but also hackneyed. maybe cheesy is the word. it was cheesy. spaghetti con queso.

    the hats!

after I watched this film I read the story and I liked the story better. I guess. as much as I liked any of it.

I was lucky to have a genius film analyst doing a running commentary as the movie played so we had a lot of deep thoughts and that was good.

  • Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters

  • Gay USA

    Gay USA

    ★★★

So it's basically just on the ground footage from gay parades which is cool and there's an interviewer asking people some things. One notably concerning attendee is dressed like Santa Claus and says we need to do more for the sexual liberation of children. Fuckin' yikes! what the hell!? But what really wore me down with this movie was the soundtrack of homespun folk songs about men kissing men etc. Agonizing.

All that said, though, you should watch this, because documentary footage of folks in the past is important.

I think I saw it on Mubi which I've determined is like if criterion channel was skeezy

  • The Last Dinosaur

I liked when t rex ate a fish. I also liked the song and the script. This was actually pretty fun while also being very bad. Why does every B Movie need a love triangle!? Ugh!!!
