Call Me by Your Name

Call Me by Your Name ★★★★½

Sufjan Stevens' voice is utterly transcendent.

Great piece of transportive cinema from Luca Guadagnino. Sun drenched Italy is the perfect setting for this story and it's quite satisfying seeing them take advantage of that. I think the biggest praise I can give is how everything progresses naturally. Nothing is flashy as the performances don't even feel like acting since it all feels real.

Michael Stuhlbarg's phenomenal last scene is like the physical embodiment of acceptance and love. Timothée Chalamet is so exceptional that I may have to become a part-time Timmy stan.
