Shot in different cities during different pride parades in the year 1977, Gay USA highlights the views of those seeking equal rights and the people who oppose them. It’s an interesting piece of history that demonstrates how far we’ve come, but also reminds us how there’s so much to left to do in order for the LGBTQ+ to have an equal place in society. It’s a good reminder that demonstrates that pride is not only a celebration, but also a protest.
Enjoyable, but it feels like filler in the MCU. Captain Marvel should’ve been better, I think. She’s supposed to be one of the most powerful heroes, and saddly I didn’t buy it. After previous Marvel movies have set the stakes so high, it’s odd to have such a safe origin story. Either way, I’d say it’s worth your time. Even if it could’ve been better, I can’t say no to a fun time at the movies.
This movie blew my mind. With Climax, director Gaspar Noé created his best movie to date. It’s a movie that gets progressively crazier as it goes, to the point that everything literally turns upside down. The fact that our characters are members of a dance company, gives the movie an interesting focus on physicality.
