The Chicago International Film Festival has announced their full lineup for this year’s event, taking place in theaters, drive-ins, and virtually, from October 13—24, 2021.

Opening Night for this year’s festival kicks off with Wes Anderson’s long-awaited The French Dispatch playing at the Music Box Theatre, while Todd Hanyes’ music doc The Velvet Underground will screen in drive-in format.

C’mon C’mon, the Joaquin Phoenix-starring latest from Beginners and 20th Century Women filmmaker Mike Mills, will serve as the festival’s Centerpiece, hot off its highly acclaimed Telluride Film Festival debut

Closing Night sees another Telluride premiere hitting the Windy City, with Reinaldo Marcus Green’s drama King Richard, about Richard Williams (played by Will Smith), father to Venus (Saniyya Sidney) and Serena (Demi Singleton), hoping to pick up some more awards buzz.

Other titles at the festival include Dune, The Last Duel, Parallel Mothers, A Hero, and plenty more.
