BlacKkKlansman

BlacKkKlansman ★★★½

American reformism horror story. It works very well because it sets up its contradictions (which are Lee's lifelong Hollywood insider/outsider and it is to the movie's merit that is clear it is the Hollywood story as much American mainstream politics) and is resigned to how it can't solve it, that exist inside a compromised system that can only do so much empty gestures. It is one of Lee's most successful mainstream films, because it is very much about itself.
