The abortion battle continues to rage in unexpected ways on one corner in an American city.
why is there nobody ever counter-protesting the protesters outside of abortion clinics? for zero dollars i could harass, verbally assault, and violate the personal space of these people the exact same way they do to abortion providers and women seeking care 😊 anyway call "crisis pregnancy centers" what they are: christian terrorism 😜
🎶Hey, hey. You, you.
We don't like abortion.
No way. No way.
Gotta save the babies. 🎶
This documentary made me very sad and angry, but this part made me laugh.
Haunting depiction of "pregnancy care centers" (pro-life centers that spread misinformation about abortions to women) and in particular, one that is across the street from an abortion clinic. Meanwhile, the clinic is attempting to curb the misinformation campaign and just do their damn jobs. I would have liked a bit more focus on the good people in the clinic but I understand it's not as interesting and it was quite fascinating to see how the other side and operates and how they manipulate their clientele.
Because America is a wasteland for women's bodily autonomy, 9 years later this movie is still as relevant as ever and will likely continue to be for the foreseeable future.
After a year where two films about abortion came out, this was interesting to see the otherside of the coin I suppose. Definitely don't agree with the Christian hoes, but ya know they do exists.
I didn't want to be angry at 3pm on the 1st of January in 2021 but here I am. I honestly should have known better but still I persisted. It's so hard to watch what amounts to the manipulation of women making what I imagine to be the toughest choice of their lives by people who wouldn't go out of their way to provide these same people help carrying groceries for the children they are helping force into their lives. Also, aren't there laws about how close protesters can be to a clinic? Standing outside the window and yelling at these people is infuriating. I think this year I will see what opportunities are available to me to be a safe escort into these facilities for women who may need it. On God, fuck anyone who is ProLife.
gosh the anger was flowing while watching this. women truly don’t have a choice. manipulation and the spread of misinformation runs rapid, all in the name of the church. not to mention that this film shows stalking, threats, and harsh judgments. pro-choice is a must
I want to just go to that CPC and pretend to be possessed by the devil and freak Anne out. I hate her
I want to see Anne from the crisis pregnancy center and Candice from the abortion clinic battle each other on an episode of celebrity death match, if MTV ever reboots it. But in all seriousness, this is one of the better made documentaries that follows two different social movements, without taking a side. Instead they give us insight on those who are passionate on each side of the abortion debate and how the pregnant women at the center of it truly feel.
this is a really hard film to watch, and it tries to be unbiased in its approach to showing both sides of the abortion debate. it's important to see how both sides are dealing with this issue, but this country is so fucked up, and this film shows how women ultimately don't have the choice they deserve
The movie seems to be super pro life and is very limited on the pro choice view. But luckily it makes all the pro life people look like crazy assholes.

Awesome, very matter-of-fact documentary focused on showing a situation from many points of view.
So Father J. Thomas, the entrepreneur who owns/owned the anti-abortion pregnancy center later had a lawsuit filed against him in 2012 for sexual abuse. Isn’t that something? Especially since he was downplaying how he had the police called on him for harassing women trying to get into the abortion clinic at one point in the film.

an interesting companion piece to never, rarely, sometimes, always
for such a divisive topic, i wish there was more here (particularly with the abortion clinic), but overall an absolutely infuriating experience

The beauty of this documentary is that the creators aren't speaking to you or really even pushing anything, they film the situations and that's all you see. That being said I'm very ready to go volunteer for Planned Parenthood and support them however I can.
Congrats. You've just made me more pro choice than ever! These religious right folks just ain't right in the head.
