charlie plummer in lean on pete: 100,000/10
quite possibly the sweetest and softest boy in the world. going out of my way to find a spring internship so i can raise enough funds to buy and send charlie plummer an unnecessary amount of horses
brady jandreau in the rider: 6/10
i know he's playing himself but he seems too nice to be a real person so i gotta knock him points for that, we can't ALL be lucas hedges and charlie plummer. the worst kind of horseboy because he participates in activities that hurt animals yet loves the big ol' pals when they're just chillin'
john c reilly in the sisters brothers : 7/10

David Tennant is a nut. He puts the L in looney as a loco serial killer who enjoys the hunt more than the kill. He’s a crazy sumbitch. I don’t know anyone whom dislikes Tennant. You can tell he’s having a blast. Bad Samaritan might have a $3 budget, but it is a pretty damn entertaining and exciting game of cat and mouse.
What also helps is the petty thief turned hero played by Robert Sheehan. You probably know him from Misfits or Klaus in The Umbrella Academy. He’s a stereotypical dumb hero, doing stupid things, but he’s very likable. He’s a cool guy.
Like I said earlier, this movie’s budget is very small. Filmed in…

A.V. Club review. Watched this the same day as The Guardians, and it looks like I marginally prefer a really stupid movie that holds my attention to a highly accomplished movie that does not.
Nothing better than seeing a bat shit crazy movie like this at midnight for 6 bucks. Totally worth it. I loved the originality here but it also doesn’t take itself too seriously. For how scary and legit the plot is, there are some funny and even cheesy moments. I’d recommend it
I’d never heard of this movie until today.
Now, I’ll never forget it.
Edge of your seat as Hell.
Robert Sheehan and David Tennant, based on Television-leading-man coolness alone, should make BAD SAMARITAN a fun thriller. Sheehan was a dynamite young-mouthpiece with equal parts foul-mouthed wit and adolescent inner fire in MISFITS. And David Tennant, in the few things I've seen him in, elevates the viewing experience of his shows above and beyond their actual quality. He smoulders or enunciates with an actorly, Shakespearean depth that typically leads him to stealing the scenes he's in.
Sheehan works very well in his toned-down version of himself--he's like curly-haired James Franco acting the heck out of his B-movie role. It's Tennant that goes overboard in BAD SAMARITAN. His accent feels clumsy, he's over the top, and he gives the worst-and-longest-and-clumsiest climactic…
A great opening act with an intriguing setup, two solid performances from David Tennett and Robert Sheehan, and a few well done sequences can't quite save "Bad Samaritan" from it's extremely generic plot with a runtime that stretches the thin premise out for as long as it possibly could. It feels as though the filmmakers didn't really know where to take things after the 45 minute mark. It's not that well made but it's entertaining at least, glad I saw it for cheap. Meh.
The fact that David "ten-inch" Tennant has never really taken his obviously well crafted television career onto a cinematic platform is a confusing conundrum. Maybe the right project hasn't reared its head, or possibly he's simply better suited to television, who knows, but with the exception of his cartoonish turn in the Harry Potter films as Bartemius Crouch Junior, his film career has been forgettable. Unfortunately despite an interesting premise, Bad Samaritan won't do him any favours either and suffers from a touch of over-acting and a rather predictable finale.
Robert Sheehan plays Sean Falco a valet with a side-line in burglarising houses of people eating in the restaurant he and his buddy park cars for. His life however is…
David Tennant is a sinister bastard and by far the best part of this "we broke into the wrong house" Cape Fear type flick.
Its surprisingly good .
Mondo Cinema out....
A creative story with solid tension, about a common thief endeavouring to save a girl taken prisoner by a equestrian sadist.

Robert Sheehan plays a burglar who, during a valet scheme, ends up discovering a chained and leather bound woman (Kerry Condon) in the house of a rich arsehole (David Tennant). What follows is two plots - on one side, Sheehan trying to get Tennant arrested and to save his recent victim, and on the other Tennant trying to ruin Sheehan's life to trap and torture him in a more abstract "jail".
I liked the way the story plays out in this. The legal resolution plot keeps enough doubt in the…
Was a good film would’ve liked to see a bit more of what happened at the end but yeah, it was sound
Kilgrave vs Nathan from Misfits was what the world needed. making David Tennant american does not help his scariness, but constantly standing behind everyone does
It's such a waste of using someone like David Tennant when he has to do an American accent. I feel that is a similar case with other actors that are let down by the script.
Really intense at some points, funny at others and a bit of cheese on the side.
The main villian is creepy as hell and per a usual episode of the Blacklist- the FBI is made to look incredibly stupid.
This had a lot of potential to be great but ends up a good Sunday afternoon flick.
Bad animation for the flashbacks, but it was an interesting movie. Plus David tenant. Not super spooky though.
