"come and watch the skinny kid with a steadily declining mental health, and laugh as he attempts to give you what he cannot give himself."
bo, elbows deep in a rant about how we are constantly trapped in a cycle of performing and consuming content: if you can live your life without an audience, you should do it!
midwestern couple who are only there because they have season tickets to this theatre: well! this is nothing like dane cook
"I don't think that I can handle this right now."
i saw MAKE HAPPY in Portland over a year ago. during the show, a woman began filming and security tried to stop her but Bo stopped the show to say it was okay. he welcomed her to film it for personal use but asked her not to upload it because he doesn't want the show to be spoiled. bo burnham is a literal angel but i know he would hate me for saying that.
now let's get personal, letterboxd!
bo has been a huge influence on me since i was 14 (6 years ago!). his comedy actually helped me through an extremely tough time (my freshman/sophomore years were SO BAD…
why is there a young boy living alone down the lane? who signed this boy’s lease
i feel like bo would hate me for saying this but i do think he’s one of the smartest and most well spoken people working today and it always amazes me how he puts that into his work (i was listening to his interview w/ pete holmes on pete’s podcast and he elaborates more on late night hosts/the end of culture) & every time i watch him perform im just in awe of what im seeing so yikes @myself for getting so sappy but bo is one of the best writers and performers working today and i hope he never stops
THE BIT IS OVER. IM NOT TALKING INTO HIS DICK NOW. I DIDNT RIP OFF HIS DICK. IM NOW NOT TALKING INTO A SEVERED... DICK. THE SHOW IS A SERIES OF DISCREET BITS— THAT ONE’S OVER. god
the final five minutes or so made me hate myself a lot and were way too relatable for me to be okay with myself!
i am not happy
i don't go to the gym 'cause i'm self-conscious about my body. but i'm self-conscious about my body 'cause i don't go to the gym. irony can be so painful. that's a catch twenty twoooOOOOO
i have decided that this is the greatest comedy performance of all time. move over carlin, this kid does everything you do and more (and better!), and he doesn’t sound like my uncle’s facebooks status while doing it.
This is so staggeringly brilliant – I never get enough of watching the show, start to finish.
if astrology isnt real how is bo burnham the textbook definition of a leo sun virgo moon
listening to bo tell me to live my life without an audience in a Tiktok content house >>>>>
