Pixar Shorts: BURN•E, BURN-E, Burn-E, Берн-И, Бёрн-И, BURN•E
Haven’t seen WALL-E since it came out 11 years ago so this one is sort of out of context but it’s beautifully animated!
Burn-E shows us that, no matter what gets in your way, you always need to work for your goals. And life will get you down sometimes, whether it’s a bad day at work, or meteor destroying the light pole. But Burn-E never let that get him down. He kept fighting until the very end, not even letting humanity’s salvation stop him from replacing that light. That's what we need to do: persevere and aim for the stars.
If you couldn’t tell, I am really starting to run out of things to say about Pixar shorts. At the end of the day, these are still just incredibly simple, 5-10 minute shorts that aren’t really meant to be analyzed. Not that they’re bad, it’s just that some of them are hard to write about.
Pixar short made for people who liked the silent bits of Wall-E, of which I am one.
HOWEVER, it loses three stars for being scientifically inaccurate. Saturn's rings are made of ice, not rock. *Adjusts spectacles*
Couldn’t stop thinking about this after rewatching WALL•E so now here I am.
It’s not as good as the movie it comes from, however it’s still an entertaining little short that is guaranteed to make you smile.
Short Animation - Before filmmaker Angus MacLane got his big break directing "Finding Dory" (2016), he made three shorts, and this was the first. Not only did he write and direct this eight-minute Pixar short, he also voiced the main character, a repair robot called BURN-E. Set in 2805 A.D., some 821 million miles from Earth, the fixer-upper spends most his time welding and mending broken equipment. However, the romance between WALL-E (Ben Burtt) and EVE (Elissa Knight) disrupts his routine, and poor BURN-E gets locked out of the Axiom spaceship. He'll get no help from the maintenance computer (Tessa Swigart) or the Captain (Jeff Garlin). The little guy has to figure out for himself how to get back in. A nice companion piece to the "WALL-E" (2008) DVD.
It's a fun revisit in the Wall-E universe with beautful animation and a lot of heart.
Pixar, thanks for making shorts. I really appreciate them.
Not like it’s a high bar to begin with but this surpasses every Mater, Olaf, and Forky short combined
This was really cute EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT MY DAD CAUGHT ME RED-HANDED AWAKE WATCHING THIS @ 1AM AND THREATENED TO TAKE MY LAPTOP AWAY IF I KEPT STAYING UP DAMN IT!
It didn’t help that I haven’t seen Wall-E yet but it was alright to watch. If I was a robot though I know I’d be called Heart Burn-E, definitely.
Could use a whole bunch of shorts of different robots trying to fix whatever Wall-E fucked up
Not like it’s a high bar to begin with but this surpasses every Mater, Olaf, and Forky short combined
Basically the lesson here : you may think it's fun being in love, dancing in space but that fun causes one poor robot to have a bad day, so think ahead kids.
A Pixar History | Short Films for a Short Month 2021
Continuing the incredible visual comedy and storytelling from the magnificent WALL•E, this expansion of a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it character as their spin-off story runs in conjunction with the feature’s is a hilarious, enjoyable romp, proving the richness of this beautiful world.
This character has suffered more than Ellie from TLOU2.
Also best character in the movie itself.
