2007 Directed by Linda Voorhees
Unforeseen obstacles stand in the way of a family planning to take a road trip in an RV.
Did Dave Foley and Lea Thompson owe the writer/director money?
This is the only explanation for why two established actors would lower themselves into this abysmally unfunny, amateurish drek. It’s about a road trip, theoretically, but they barely make it down the road; they spend 10 full minutes trying to turn off their screaming security alarm, and the blaring, piercing pain that settles in is a solid metaphor for the movie as a whole.
It ends up being about how Thompson is a terribly unpleasant and hateful harridan, unhappy in her marriage and her life, and takes it out on literally everyone. She sucks, this sucks, everything about it sucks. I hated it.
Absolutely abysmal film, I watched it back in my high school years. I was thinking about just watching a mindless comedy with my sister, but the obstacles this family has to get through are draggin, repetitive, and only brings a headache.
Unfunny, atrocious, painful to insist watching, the complete opposite of a recommendation.
