Action U.S.A director John Stewart and star Ross Hagen co-direct this tale of a hotshot up-and-coming young photographer (oddly played by an over 50 Hagen) who is planning a chicks with guns calendar. He gathers a group at his gated compound for a photoshoot.. many photoshoots.. when the guests begin getting killed off. Takes far too long to get to the killing and features some extreme padding with frequent photoshoot scenes. The six credited writers couldn't come up with anything better to fill the screentime? The whodunit aspect also falls completely flat since it is extremely obvious which actor you're looking at from the first glimpse of them.
In addition to Action U.S.A., multiple cast and crew have connections to other titles released by Vinegar Syndrome including Blood Games, Angel and Savage Dawn.
VS - please leave this one alone.
Mostly just a collection of photoshoots, with Ross Hagen casting himself as a hip & happenin' ~how do u do fellow youngsters~ fashion photographer, then an hour in remembering he was gonna make a horror movie. Easily the best movie I've seen named Click. Easily the worst "whodunnit" in history since no one bothered to cover up those caterpillars.
Poor man’s Dressed To Kill, only it targets the epileptic. Seriously, there’s an 8 minute long scene of a hard strobe sex-murder.

Click: The Calender Girl Killer...1990
Director...Ross Hagen (The Glove)
Her days were numbered.
This sure started out promising, frame one is a bikini girl, then a bikini girl with a gun, then a sword and so forth.....then the movie starts.....so does the pain.
A transvestite maniac who dresses up like his mother, (I've seen that in some old movie somewhere....)
Procastantes for an hour then offs some bimbos and broheims. Ross Hagen, Troy Donahue, and that bitchy blonde chick from Friday 13th 7, are along for the ride.
This was tedious to watch, nothing much happens for an hour, then they try to fit an entire slasher movie into thirty minutes.
I think it's trying to be a…

3. Watch a horror movie that features models.

A semi-bloodbath is crammed into the last 30 minutes, but the first 60 is an endurance test of flirting and photo shoots and listening to a legendary photographer's vision to create a historic calendar composed of.......women holding weapons. GENIUS!
I was so checked out that by the time they showed the killer, I had completely forgotten they'd briefly covered a backstory in the opening scene.
Though not apples to apples, this really made me just want to watch Cover Me ( boxd.it/4KB0 ) again, partially because Prom Night III's Courtney Taylor is easy on the eyes, and also because it's a 90's, sleazy, model-infused, psycho killer flick that doesn't suck.
I'm still debating if I disliked this or Adam Sandler's Click more.
I often try to find something, anything in movies from my genres of interest to celebrate, but my god this is putrid.
Although made in 1990, this still feels like it’s smack dab in the mid 80’s. With big hair and high cut bikinis. I’m not complaining as the women are quite fetching.
At a remote location a bunch of models are picked off by a crazed killer while at a weekend photo shoot.
Not great by any means but there is enough candy for your eyes that would put Halloween to shame.
Starts out promising, with a bikini clad woman wielding a bow and arrow.
Then there’s this all girl band rocking some downbeat hair metal for a group of yuppies? It just seems like really inappropriate music for that setting.
The main character(?) seems to be a real bitch, and I don’t mind it. UPDATE: She’s not the main character at all.
This movie likes to threaten you with nudity but never delivers. Except once, briefly, near the end.
“Put some shit in it man!” Is that what he said? Is that what he really said?! I have a bad feeling about this guy. UPDATE: He has a rape van.
The boyfriend is the worst. I prefer the evil photographer.
Whoever…
I've waited about 10 years to watch this late slasher starring Friday alumni Juliette Cummins and Susan Jennifer Sullivan.
They were pretty much the only highlights, as well as the only good actors in this lame erotic-thriller-turned-slasher. The kills are about as exciting as anything you'd see in a DTV early 2000s entry, so... basically it sucks. No wonder Juliette Cummins is uncredited. I wouldn't want my name on this either.
And then it ends. The score was good, but they didn't even use it during the murders. WTF?
I knew I was gonna be bad, but I was not expecting anything like the sluggish and painful mess it ended up being.
Watch Psycho, Pieces, Eyes of Laura Mars and Sleepaway Camp as they are what this movie wish it could be like.
I don't think a single person was watching this movie by the end of its run time, we paid closer attention to Robsessed. HUGE fan of seizure interludes
“I tried so hard to maintain my image.”
The only reason I saw this movie was because of Susan Jennifer Sullivan (Queen Melissa Paur in Friday the 13th Part VII: New Blood) and it was awful.
Susan Jennifer Sullivan sweetie, you don't deserve this disgrace, this star is for you honey
