The movie kicking off with “Be My Baby” gave me some flashbacks to Mean Streets and I was nervous where this movie was headed.
I didn’t know much about this movie other than student and teacher get it on romantic styles and to say I was naive would be an understatement. It had many more layers on it than I was expecting. A lot of them played out well and made up for some smaller items that may not have aged as well in the 30+ years since this movie came out.
One thing that has aged exceedingly well was using Ayn Rand as a visual to denote how douchey the college waiter was. Absolutely loved it, cackled in joy at the beauty.
