Someone brought a dog into the theater. Society has broken down past any semblance of rules.

Spent the first thirty minutes going "I don't know what the fuck is going on." Spent the rest of the film going "oh, this is surprisingly funny when I understand what's going on." Beautifully shot. Shocked at how much a single moment of rudeness really felt like a gut punch. I liked this movie. Maybe the closest I'll ever get to truly loving an English period film.

A movie full of many perfect withering looks

One of those movies in which every actor makes use of every second of their screen time, including Johnny Flynn’s dressers in their own Tom Courtenay-esque turns. They moved a lot more slowly than Norman did, though, and for good reason.

This film was cute. A little slow but not surprising for a Jane Austen story. Beautifully filmed, amazing shots and reframing, also loved the sets. Everything was so colorful and vibrant, I loved it.
