david lynchs kids: aw you made a movie about what its like to be a dad?? can we see it?
david lynch: ....um
Funny how this film doesn't seem disturbing until you describe it to those who haven't seen it.
I have a big poster of this hanging in my dorm room and one time a boy from tinder came over and looked at it for a while and said "is that Niall Horan?"
Marrying early silent film comedy with gnostic body horror, Eraserhead is the sort of movie experience which everyone can probably relate to, even when they wish they could not. If you have been uncomfortable going over to your romantic partner's parents' house for dinner, if you dread the long walk home from the pencil factory, if you feel weird interacting with the neighbor across the hall with whom you would like to have or have had amorous intrigue with, if you would like to escape into the calming sounds emitted by the radiator, if you have just picked the new baby up from the hospital and don't know what to do now that it is really home and sitting on…
I watched this movie on my small ass iPod Touch screen, the way David Lynch intended.
Though it’s not even the most disgusting thing I’ve seen in film, nor does it purposely make known that it wishes to unsettle you.... this has been one of the most viscerally uncomfortable experiences I’ve had watching a film, period. BUT, I believe that to be a result of the film succeeding at it’s intention. Lynch is a visionary, with intentions and style like no other, and even despite my strong discomfort from this film, the “landmark” title that it holds is fully understandable. This film has such analogous depth... and it comes from a 20 page script.... that is insane.
Will I watch it again? I don’t know, maybe for the sake of studying visual, abstract analogies.... and maybe…
David Lynch's birthday special
Eraserhead literally doesn't have any solid ground to interpret on.Every other interpretation seems logical and makes sense or does it?This is the beauty of a Lynch film.Must admire the film's horrendous music and set up in a dystopian industrial wasteland.Given sufficient time, I think this film will grow into me and eventually the rating will increase a bit.

Parabéns David, tu és meio estranho seu maluco
Adoro estar desconfortável por uma hora e meia
When Lynch has a nightmare, he makes sure everyone has a nightmare.
Also...the lighting...the beautiful lighing...
Judging by the baby’s head shape, I’d say that they gave birth to Candace from Phineas and Ferb.
Also happy birthday David Lynch!
I have such a hate for if you want to have a sophisticated taste in films you have to love these kind of films films like this film is so “incredible” why? Because it makes you very uncomfortable? Because you feel miserable sitting through it? Because it’s weird? I’d rather watch 27 dresses and I can tell you that my taste in film or my ability to understand/appreciate film doesn’t hold any less value because of this
