High-concept, pulpy fun. A pitch like this could have been such a confusing mess in lesser hands. Not only do they make the face-swapping antics easy to follow, Travolta's performance had me forgetting that it wasn't actually Nic Cage underneath.
It's really fun to see Travolta doing his Nic Cage impression. It's just too bad that means Cage has to play it more subdued for most of the runtime. I'm glad that character got high so we could get a little booster shot of Cage weirdness halfway through.
Nic Cage stares right down the barrel of the camera and says the name of the movie. Twice!
There are like 4 final showdowns! I kept thinking, "Well this is it." And then there was like an hour left.
