"Gareth's closest friend, Matthew" was the most emotionally devastating line of this whole film
Top Hugh Grant F-Bombs, ranked:
#1: "Fuck-a-doodle-doo."
#2: "Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuckity fuck!"
#3: "That better not be the B359." "It's the B359." "Fuuuuckkk it!"
Oh, look at me... I’m Hugh Grant, I have perfect bone structure and kind eyes. Go fuck yourself Hugh Grant.
me seeing a young hugh grant with glasses: i've been called a white mans whore!
there are certain levels of attractiveness that most people operate on but i can safely say that hugh grant in this movie exists on a plane of beauty that no other human being will ever come close to achieving
There are points in everyone's limited time on this earth where the various axioms of LIFE™ seem to converge on your very soul with one purpose in mind, to kick you when you're down.
February 4 1998 was one of those days. On that day one of my best friends died in a car crash on her way to the hospital to say goodbye to her mother who was dying of cancer. The bizarreness and unfairness of that day were and still are incomprehensible. We studied English together, shared an Anglophile's geekiness and a deep appreciation of literature and poetry. And in 1994, we surprisingly found the latter two in a film we watched, mainly spurred on by her unhealthy…
can someone please tell me how this movie ended? hugh grant's white shirt was soaking wet i didnt really know what was happening
Perfectly imperfect but it could’ve been perfect if Fiona (Kristin Scott Thomas) actually turned out to be a lesbian. But that’s just me.
should be four weddings and two funerals since hugh grants hair has once again killed me
half a star more for hugh grant's looks because he was literally peak human beauty here
OKAY, there's something charming about this film,
It's a very much British middle-class wet dream of a film (as so many British rom-coms set in London are) but it's well written and funny, and I couldn't help but like it.
I think the performances are such an important part of this film and where some fall down, others prop it up (Andie McDowell felt incredibly flat but John Hannah was pretty powerful).
It was a funny moment finally understanding the context of "Is it raining? I hadn't noticed" SIS, PLEASE.
ok but like carrie… is the worst. like they didn’t try to make her even remotely likeable. every scene without andie macdowell in it was great. is she a robot??
“oh is it still raining? i hadn’t noticed” - my mother and i physically cringing at possibly the worst delivery of a line ever.
scarlet>everyone else
also justice for kristin scott thomas
and also hugh grant’s hair might just stop my heart
I think someone got married? I’m not sure, but Hugh Grant’s curtain bangs deserved an award for this. Indie boys today could never!
