Freaky: Este Cuerpo Está Para Matar, Freaky: Este Corpo Fica-me a Matar, Freaky - No Corpo de um Assassino, Freaky: Este cuerpo está para matar
Vince Vaughn acting as a teenage girl is more believable than seeing someone as stunning as Kathryn Newton get hired to play an “unattractive” high school nobody.
unfortunately i’ll now be thinking about the “clam jam” line for as long as i live, thanks!
Was a huge fan of the two Happy Death Day films, so I was quite excited for this to come out, and Freaky indeed doesn't disappoint for the most part as it's a total blast of a horror-comedy for sure.
Christopher Landon's distinctly playful direction is yet again in full swing here, and the clever way the gender-bending, body-swapping premise was done in this was certainly pulled off just about right in my book.
The whole cast in this is likewise fantastic, with Vince Vaughn & Kathryn Newton obviously being the out-and-out standouts since the film revolves around them. Both of them playing the direct opposite of who they were in this was an absolute treat to watch, and genuinely amusing…
If this ever happens to me and my friends don’t recognize me, I’m definitely killing them myself. Freaky is a comedy horror about an introverted high school student and her misadventures in reverting her body back, which was mystically swapped with a psycho serial killer. We follow the life of Millie, a shy high schooler, whose life turned upside down after her body was magically switched with an unhinged serial killer named The Butcher, and her plan, along with her friends, to get her body back, with only less than twenty-four hours left before everything becomes permanent.
Christopher Landon mixed the slasher elements from his two previous films Happy Death Day (2017) and Happy Death Day 2U (2019) and the…
Freaky Friday slasher version, and it's hilarious. It starts as a typical, hokey, dumb slasher but then evolves into something incredibly entertaining. Vince Vaughn is hysterical.
you’re black. i’m gay. we are so dead
Great performances all around from start to finish!
christopher landon movies are like ryan murphy projects except that there's no sarah paulson and no dookie starbucks venti latte tier writing
landon is obviously nowhere near the craftsman but the ambition to bring wes craven back to pop horror is admirable. kinda runs out of stuff to do with the concept after awhile but is consistently funny and gory and unpretentious. fun!
There is nothing out there that makes me more happy than watching a high school plastic bitch literally breaking into pieces, although I still prefer them to be brutally slaughtered hahahaha 🤣😈.
Freaky turned out to be a above average slasher with a supernatural twist in it, with good performance from most of the players, likeable protagonists although I even like out six and a half foot tall antagonist too for obvious reasons 🥰. The plot is predictable but since the movie doesn't takes itself seriously I'm not gonna be a dick about it although it would have been really great if millie had some dialogues while she is taken over by the buthers soul giving us some more insight…
Thats it! Noch ein Zeitlimit dazu (Millie hat 24 Stunden, um den Tausch rückgängig zu machen, sonst bleibt…
2020 Releases Ranked-HERE
Christopher Landon’s newest horror comedy Freaky is an utter delight. Starring Kathryn Newton, Uriah Shelton, Celeste O’Connor, Misha Osherovich and the one and only Vince Vaughn, the story follows Kathryn Newton’s Millie who after swapping bodies with a deranged serial killer, soon discovers she has less than 24 hours before the change becomes permanent.
Similar to Happy Death Day, Freaky is a light-hearted, brutal comedic slasher that’s a joy to watch. Kathryn Newton shines in the female leading role and honestly appears to be having so much fun as a deranged serial killer but, of course, the main drawing point is Vince Vaughn. He absolutely kills it as a teenage girl and seems to have an incredible…
This was hyped as hell upon its release. I really should know by now:
Don't.
Buy.
The.
Hype.
The first 5-6 minutes are pretty well done, with some smart playing around with horror 101 filmmaking tropes (the deliberate camera movements that are obviously set up for a jump scare, that we all know by now).
This is one of those horror-comedies that plays it safe with its intended audience (teens) by having every performance be an obvious trope, so these are not relatable people but entertaining characters at best.
The violence is graphic and fun, but real nastiness or nudity/sex is neutered.
I found myself being *that* viewer who keeps noticing and being bugged by every decision, inconstistency and missed…
The Hot Chick but it's a good movie and not one of the creepiest things I've ever seen in my life. Vince Vaughn, much like Jack Black, is perfectly believable as a teenage girl. Good practical effects on the gore too, that's always a plus. I'd rate this a bit higher if not for the reliance on gay stereotypes in some scenes. Fun horror-comedy.
Vince Vaughn pretending to be a teenage girl, the scene where Kathryn Newton kills those 3 jocks, the friendships, and “clam jam”. como se dice... spectacular
this movie is as dumb as could be expected. I thought Vince Vaughn was perfect. loved that Alan Ruck was her nemesis. But i didn’t like any of the young characters besides the lead. mostly the romance was p weak. the school bully was boring. the gay best friend wasn’t funny. girl best friend got no development. it needed a touch more SCREAM and a bit less .......disney channel?
Vince Vaughn was pretty entertaining, as were the most absurd comedic moments. Everything else was kind of painful and almost made Happy Death Day look good. Almost.
Had about as much fun with this as I did with the Happy Death Day movies. A sometimes odd, but sometimes refreshing combo of horror and comedy with some gory violence sprinkled in.
Vince Vaughn gets to do some stuff outside of his general Vince Vaughn schtick which is nice. Overall watchable, but nothing special.
Kathryn Newton's really starting to make an impression on me. She's always great but here she stands out in a dual role of typical teenage girl & male serial killer. Fun slasher movie that plays a little w/ genre tropes w/out taking itself seriously.
