Honestly, that's what I call a cool story bro. Such a riveting tale, I honestly copy and pasted it to word, saved on my hard drive, backed it up on a jump drive, drove to the bank, put the jump drive in the safe deposit box, and will leave it there until my kids turn about 12 (when they can actually state their age, and ask what it is I'm showing them), when I will pick it up, put it in an old USB drive reader and relay this cool story to them and tell them, "kids, this is what a cool story should look and sound like...not like the stories your generation tells.🙄

I have so much love for this movie. I've always had a thing for Greek mythology it was fascinating as a kid. While Christian's would worship god I would be worshiping Poseidon like I would embarrass myself in kindergarten when asked if I was religious. Plus I've always had a soft spot for hercules in disney and marvel comics. He is just my soft son.

But this movie was so ahead of it's time we had a queer campy hades we had meg a confident unapologetic independent strong woman. We had 2 gay demons and you cant tell me they weren't! We had daddy Zeus. Even tho in mythology Zeus is trash, this zeus is kid friendly and we gone keep it that way.

But meg hits so different. Like you could be any gender any sexualities everyone was attracted to meg and if you weren't you're a liar!

This was my shit when I was younger. All into Greek mythology, reading Percy Jackson. I’ll even admit that I enjoyed the two Titans movies with Sam Worthington. But this is kind of an essential for a kid obsessed with some stuff like that and it’s probably the best movie about that stuff that I saw when I was younger. James Woods and DeVito kind of steal the show as Hades and Phil.

I absolutely love this Disney film. It’s one of my few go to Disney movies. Sure the Greek mythology was off, but it was still enjoyable and a fun movie.

Okay, so this wasn’t one for me when I was a kid, for whatever reason, I dunno, I was probably too busy wearing out the vhs of the little mermaid and beauty and the beast to notice this, I guess, but I saw it in college and again tonight, and it’s really grown on me. 

As all the reviews I’ve seen on here say, Meg is unreasonably hot, and if I had seen this as a kid I would’ve wanted to be her so bad it likely would’ve ruined my summer. 

“Go the Distance” and “I Won’s Say I’m in Love” are also Classic Menken, but the others are pretty forgettable, really feeling the loss of Howard Ashman here. I do love the whole vibe, though, and while I’m just insufferable enough to be bugged by how far off it is from the original myths, it’s still a fun 90 minute ride.

Get yourself some mothafuckin Air-Hercs.

Honestly, who doesn’t like this movie? It was really well directed and I really enjoyed the animation of everything. I loved it as a kid and I’ve recently begun watching it again regularly. There’s something about it that just reels me in every time. Big recommend.

Solid action, lots of great uses of color, I hate to say it but James Woods is great as Hades...
