1920s Coney Island looks like so much fun! Modern theme parks should be ashamed, they will never compare.
Two lonely people who don’t realize they live right next to each-other visit Coney Island on an especially uneventful day. They happen to meet at the park, discuss their dreary lives, fall in love and go on to have one of the most enjoyable days imaginable. Until they eventually get separated due to uncontrollable circumstances.
Glenn Tryon and Barbara Kent are adorable together, I think I had a grin on my face during the entire Coney Island section while watching them just meander around. That area of the film feels like witnessing two people’s dreams of love coming true. Completely enchanting.
Beautiful film, with wonderful shots of the park and a few talkie sections, some of these even use two-strip technicolor.
