“Just got back from Italy, my man! You won’t believe the picture I saw!”
“Hit me!”
“This guy has a voice in his head — that comes from his penis! Hahaha! I said ‘come’ and ‘penis’ in the same sentence!”
“Was the picture any good!?”
“Couldn’t tell you! I was drunk and coked out the whole time — but it HAS to work!”
“I’m in! Who’ll play the lead!?”
“Let’s get the lil’ nerdy friend from ‘An American Werewolf in London’! He was HILARIOUS in that. ”
“NATURALLY! What about the voice of his member!?”
“Hmm. What about that asshole from ‘Perfect Strangers’! Now get my dealer on the phone! Robin Williams is on his way — and he does enough blow fer the both of us.”

[Watched on Tubi.]
A guy's penis starts talking to him. Was this a real movie? I just watched it and still have my doubts. The basic polish of a studio comedy is there, and it follows a discernible internal logic, but the unbelievable stupidity of everything that happens makes you want to look around for proof that you're not dreaming this. And I don't mean that as an endorsement. Imagine if "The Secret of My Success" and "Hot to Trot" mated but the kid had severe brain damage. This has none of the charming star power and finesse of the former or over-the-top goofiness of the latter.
It's Griffin Dunne occasionally bantering with his eager dick voice (Mark Linn-Baker, "Perfect Strangers" straight man!…
"Bert, she's gonna know I've been somewhere else... I'm unclean, Bert!"
A film about a man whose penis reveals itself to be a sentient being and starts speaking to him in his head. It's one of those 50/50 propositions, really. It'll either be a work of incisive satirical genius or a pile of crap. Well... this ain't no work of genius.
There's definitely some metaphorical potential here. Let's face it - sex is such a powerful part of our psyches. The phrase "to think with your dick" is part of the vernacular. So there could be a great comedic premise in using a literal representation to illustrate the foibles of sexual politics.
But no. Me and Him grasped the idea…
Curiosity got the best of me but this might be the only talking dick based comedy movie that actively pissed me off the entire time. Who let this happen? There were hundreds, if not thousands of people involved in the production and not a single person was like "hey let's not, this is embarrassing and bad." The only humor to be had in this "comedy" were the constant shots of the twin towers and that's unintentional.
Lmao this is so profoundly awful in only the way an 80s movie could even think to put to film. Marriage? Not even once my dudes
Due to its rarity, I never thought I would see this, in a way I may not have really wanted to and I was definitely not prepared for it. This film has been living in my mind since I found it here on LB a few months ago and like any situation I expected the anticipation would be worse than the realisation. It was actually about as bad as I could imagine.
Excruciating and uncomfortable to the max. If you enjoy cringe comedy, this is for you, despite the subject matter and the horrific narration device, the performances were pretty good. And at least a woman directed it.
BIG THANK YOU to Freddie for going through this ordeal with me.
Larry from Perfect Strangers plays the voice of Griffin Dunne's weiner.
If you ever wanted a penis version of the psychiatrist office scene from "Drop Dead Fred", look no further.
You know things aren't going too well when your penis says "ashes to ashes."
