This movie is...shockingly amazing? And clever? And well-paced? And subversive? How did I not realize this?

awww it's so nice to see the Aniston Husbands working together! 😊
In a perfect world, Megamind would’ve been the 2010 animated film that got multiple sequels and spin-offs, while Despicable Me just faded into the background. But alas, that’s not the case. This is why we can’t have nice things.
Megamind: In case you haven't noticed, you've fallen right into my trap.
Metroman: You can't trap justice - its an idea, a belief!
Megamind: Even the most heartfelt belief can be corroded over time!
Metroman: Justice is a non-corrosive metal!
Megamind: But metals can be melted by the heat of RAVANGE.
Metroman: Its REVENGE and its best served cold.
Megamind: But it easily can be reheated, in the microwave of evil!
Metroman: Well I think your warranty is about to expire!
Megamind: Maybe I've got an extended warranty!
Metroman: Warranties are INVALID if you don't use the product for its intended purpose!
Roxanne: girls girls, you're both pretty... can I go home now?
this is the kind of dialogue and banter I LIVE for in a movie
I wanna see a crossover event where minion from megamind and pascal from tangled team up to fight the animals from over the hedge who have formed a rebellion and maybe gnomeo and juliet enter as peacekeepers and I don’t know what I’m saying at this point
Metroman - neutral evil
Megamind - chaotic good
Hal - chaotic evil
Roxanne - neutral good
Two blank souls come to earth; one lands in a position of opulence and endless opportunity, the other at the very bottom of the system, where he quickly learns that any attempt at achieving status in this organized society is impossible. Both are products of their respective environments, their very temperaments seemingly inevitable, and their battle is the most essential fight of good versus evil. It is when Megamind succeeds in his villainy that this entire basic structure is fundamentally destroyed: without hero, there is no need for villain. Yet Megamind does not then reform, he tries to create a new good to fight…
Childhood classic. It's about time I just admit that this is one of my favorite movies. It's better than I remembered, honestly. It used to be a cute hilarious movie but it's genuinely.. so well written? and well directed? beautifully animated? has an amazing soundtrack? BANGER cast??
One of the best animated movies, and one of the best movies to use superheroes. I have such fond memories with this movie as a kid and I'm so glad I still love it.
Watched with the homies Gus, Bromero, Hunter and Harry.
Truly an underrated and iconique film. Megamind is my Pulp Fiction, I scoff and look down at those who do not understand the cinematic masterpiece that this is.

- “I understand you well dressed bird” existential discussion

Really cute and fun. Morally inconsistent and I’m glad Bernard was alive in the end. Some great jokes and interesting ideas. Holds up upon re-watching
