A documentary about the making of season five of the acclaimed AMC series Breaking Bad.
Kind of makes me wish I'd watched Breaking Bad before I watched a documentary about the final episodes of it......
(for the show)
This is probably the greatest piece of narrative fiction of the 21st century so far, right? Right?!
Idk, personally I'd say so.
Man, oh man, do I miss my favorite television show of all time. Breaking Bad is mesmerizing, miraculous, meticulous, marvelous, magnificent, and simply mind-blowing. I finally got around to watching this documentary, and it was brilliant! No Half Measures focuses on the the making of the final season of Breaking Bad, while hearkening back to the good ole' days. It was sad, watching my favorite characters say their final goodbyes and seeing the mastermind behind the show, Vince Gilligan, and the crew wrapping up Breaking Bad. The result of that was some tears. I adore this show and always will.
This made me so happy and smile a lot but also made me cry a bunch too haha ah I love Breaking Bad so much that it hurts
Just finished showing Taylor the whole show in about a month's time.
Still the greatest drama ever produced for television and one of the greatest stories ever told. Every single episode is brilliant. Some are just more brilliant than others.
Every aspiring writer owes it to themselves to watch this show at least once.
I’m using this to write my review for the actual show itself.
Those of you who know me from Twitter know my love for Breaking Bad, and how much that show means to me. I’m probably more well-known as a Breaking Bad fan more than I am a member of Film Twitter. I just never shut up about it. Breaking Bad is, in my opinion, the greatest thing ever put to screen. And in preparation for El Camino I decided to give it my ninth rewatch and give it the review it deserves. But in all honesty any and all praise this show gets still does not do it justice. There’s a reason why Breaking Bad is regarded as the…
Breaking Bad.
Yes I will be that person who rates this documentary as the show, and yes I will do a review about the show. And of course the only right way to start 2021 is to watch the beat show ever created. Watched this show 8 years ago and literally changed my life. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve rewatched it or quoted it but it has literally been the best journey ever. I’m a big fan of character development and wow does this show takes the gold for that. If you haven’t seen it, wyd? I highly suggest watching it this year.
“I am the danger”
This show is a true masterpiece. At least in my subjective mind and the subjective mind of many others.
And also, probably the greatest work in how it actually achieves into making you realize that the man you were following, was never a hero or someone to admire. Walter White in a way, represents this ego inside a lot of other men. We empathize with Walter because we are Walter once we get through the journey along with him. We want Walter to succeed because we feel we are doing the right thing. We think we are proving ourselves as men. We think we have the power and invincibility to get away from our actions. We become blind to our…
Review for the show:
Breaking Bad is without a doubt one of the greatest TV shows ever made.
With its incredible performances, thrilling storyline and iconic characters, it manages to keep you glued to the screen through every second of every episode of every season. It never misses a mark.
Walter White is by far one of the greatest TV protagonist of all time (not my personal favorite though. Sorry Walt, but you just can't say no to agent Dale Cooper).
His descent into pure villainy is absolutely riveting to watch. Had that aspect not worked, I don't think the show would've worked either.
But it worked perectly, and it's a perfect show because of it.
Review for the documentary:
Uuuuh, yeah it's good yeah I totally saw it very good yes...
So, for people who’ve watched breaking bad, name your 15 favorite scenes in the entire show, they can be any, and you don’t have to order them by weakest to best.
Mine would be these 15
- The crawl space ending
- The “I did it for me” scene in Felina
- the first 20 minutes of Ozymandias
- Walter White’s death in Felina
- Gus Fring’s death in Face-Off
- The Salamanca Cousins deaths
- Hank’s confrontation with Walt in the garage in Blood Money
- the last 3 minutes of Granite State
- The phone call scene in Ozymandias
- “Say my name” from, well, Say my name
- Jane’s death in Phoenix
- “This, is not meth” scene from Crazy Handful of nothin
- Jack, Todd, lydia, and the rest of Jack’s gang’s death
- “I am the danger”
- and of course, the box cutter
Yes I am probably having some sort of mental breakdown and using Breaking Bad as a coping mechanism but there’s worse ways to deal with mental issues so it’s fine... heh.
Anyways........
I LOVE BREAKING BAD OH GOD OH FUCK I JUST FINISHED MY REWATCH AND WANTED TO FINALLY WATCH THIS DOCUMENTARY AND IT WAS GREAT YES SO PERFECT AND I TEARED UP LIKE 20 TIMES WHILE WATCHING THIS AND OH GOD THIS SHOW IS SO AMAZING I LOVE IT 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I’m going to therapy soon don’t worry.
Season 3
The beats didn't hit quite as well as those last few S2 episodes did, but there's a lot here to appreciate.
And yes, Fly is good.
Season 2
Int. Better Call Saul - Day
SAUL GOODMAN enters, walking past an array of Christmas decorations.
SAUL GOODMAN:
"Holy shit, are we breaking bad?
Just for season one
A lot funnier than I expected. Very pretty and perfectly-structured. No Saul Goodman from Little Women or Giancarlo African-American-TV-Villian yet, but I'm excited.
Finished rewatching BB for the zillionth time and had to celebrate by watching this masterpiece doc.
for the show.
i love this show so much, i just want jesse to be happy man. that guy went through so much and i just need him to be sane. maybe controversial but i actively dislike walt in season 5, and i get that that’s by design, but i grew to resent him until the finale, when he gets his comeuppance. he really reminds me of Light from death note, the way hes the main character yet a villain, but his character is just so fleshed out that i just can’t help but love him. i will miss this.
