"Well, this is your game, I've never played before."
"It's not a game. It's not something you play."
It's actually annoying how well-made this is. Although stylistically unrefined compared to Soderbergh's later crime movies - it's more blue-collar than the Ocean's trilogy and less frivolous than Logan Lucky - Out of Sight remains a devastatingly sexy endeavour. The editing by Anne V. Coates is positively intoxicating, David Holmes' musical score slaps, Clooney and Lopez are sensational, and the rest of the cast is similarly electrifying. I personally prefer Jackie Brown when it comes to Elmore Leonard adaptations, but Out of Sight is still exceptional.
Also, I hit 1500 followers earlier this week. You awesome, beautiful, magnificent bastards. This time five years ago I didn't even have 10 followers. Thank you all so, so, so much.
