Biohazard: Vendetta, Resident Evil 3 - Vendetta, 惡靈古堡:血仇, Baiohazādo Vendetta, 바이오해저드: 벤데타, Resident Evil - Vendetta, Resident evil vendetta - FR 2017
It's an RE popcorn flick that's mega fun. It doesn't really try to be anything more than that, as the gun-ballerina-fight clearly defines. Action scene was fun and over the top. Plus, it has Chris, Leon and Rebecca in it.
I can't get over how insanely hot they made Chris.
Oh, also: we've missed you, Rebecca <3
This is Resident Evil, the real deal, but it is so Resident Evil than only fans will enjoy it.
Something about a global arms dealer planning to unleash a deadly zombie virus upon New York City in the last half hour. Everything before? Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Residents of our Evil...
Probably shouldn't say a word about this. The last Resident Evil game I somewhat played was Part 2 back on the PS1 over a friend's house back in high school. Nothing against video games, I just don't play any outside of ancient FPSs like Doom and Quake. It goes without saying I've seen all of Milla's live-action installments and Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) but not Damnation (2012) despite owning the Blu-ray.
Walking into this third (and final?) CG outing blind, it's best when letting…
Daily Horror Scavenger Hunt 3 - September 2018
Day 10: September 10 2004 and 2010 Resident Evil: Apocalypse and Resident Evil: Afterlife were released. Today we will watch any Resident Evil movie.
This is the best of the three animated Resident Evil films, but it still feels like watching a 97 minute video game cutscene. I think only serious fans of the games will appreciate this. Or, maybe if you like CG action/horror with over the top action and a crazy plot.
For anyone who is interested, but hasn't played the games or watched the other animated films, the plot in this is standalone and does not require prior knowledge of the franchise.
I've been spending my time playing every single Resident Evil game, as well watching the animated movies and It's been a really entertaining time.
While this is probably my least favorite of the three movies (mostly because the pacing is too slow and the story not very interesting), the opening scene with Chris in the mansion is pure Resident Evil greatness, the gun-fu action is fun and it was really great seeing Rebecca again after so long.
It's messy, but enjoyable, especially if you're a fan of the games like me. Can't wait for Infinite Darkness.
Chris kinda looks like human Shrek in this tho.
57/100
The plot is like super basic, but the direction is flames and the action? Holy fucking shit. Leon goes full-on John Wick and there's an AMAZING close-range firefight sequence with Chris and the villain, that shit alone is worth seeing. It's considerably better than Damnation, but Degeneration remains the best CGI Resident Evil movie.
The first few weeks of 2019 have been really tough for me. Depression does suck. This feel-good flick managed to put a smirk on my weathered face.
Daily Horror Scavenger Hunt 7 – January 2019
23. A horror film based on a video game (bonus)
Much stupider and thus much better entry of the CG Mo-Capped RESIDENT EVIL movies that are totes in canon with the video games.
For example: there's a severed arm that's supposed to simoltaneiously horrific and tragic but cracked me up every time it popped up in the story.
Still I can't be too down on a movie that gives a freeway chase where the hero is being chased by zombie dogs with super-strength. Plus it has my favorite kind of ridiculousness: the kind that's kinda heartwarming. There's a brief scene with the bad guy's two muscles sharing a moment (they are husband…
Halloween Watchathon 2019 - Film #193
That feeling when a single sequence in this brings me more joy than the past two or three games in full. The state of my Resident Evil stanning is in shambles...
Please make a fourth film.
mindblowing action while still sticking to the series' survival horror roots... leon fucking shit up, check. cliché villain with cheesy dialogue, check. this is a resident evil movie done pretty much perfectly.
then again REboot is coming out this year w kaya scodelario as claire redfield so like... maybe it can get more perfect
this one really likes to take its time. the first fifteen minutes are good and imply this movie is about to be absolutely batshit, and then the movie plays it straight for the next forty minutes or so following that to slowly introduce and explain every single plot point that it wants to do, and then it gets absolutely batshit. that works for me, especially since none of it was bad. it did border on boring for a little while but the payoff was great so i'll allow it.
it's like the last movie taken to extremes. that one had some drag but it never reached borderline boring, but this movie got going even harder (somehow). higher highs, lower lows.…
I really enjoyed this one - it’s certainly my favourite RE film overall so far (with just 3 live action ones to go...)
This really is like watching someone more competent play the game for 90 minutes - and it was great to have Rebecca back from RE Zero alongside Chris and Leon - all still with the original voice cast.
This really is for fans of the games - if you haven’t immersed yourself in those you’ll miss on out on some of the fan service in here.
After a strong first 15 minutes, this film quickly goes downhill when the script decides to introduce Poundland Bane and his femdom Final Fantasy cosplaying daughter.
Honestly this film is just outright stupid and you know what? it was absolutely fun to watch as well. Also bonus points for the fact it has Rebecca Chambers in it
First 45 minutes: this is kinda boring
Last 45 minutes: this is the greatest shit I’ve ever seen in my life
From the genre of horror and zombies comes this new installment of the series of animated films with this third part.
The film is good has good animation and is very entertaining, only that sometimes they exaggerate a little with the skills of each character but taking into account that it is based on a series of video games we can understand this part.
Recommended if you like the games in this saga and not linked to the stories of the previous two.
